Huriye Kubilay

Before I was granted on IOI scholarship I had
been appointed
as the chief of the Law of the Sea Department at
the Law Faculty
of Dokuz Eylül University. I knew very little on the
Law of the Sea. I have
learnt the Law of the Sea with its various aspects and
got great experience
during the IOI Course (Marine Management in Exclusive
Economic Zone) in 1992,
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Then I have written a book,
many articles and
participated several conferences on the Law of the Sea
both in Turkey and
abroad. Upon prepearation of a Report in the IOI Course,
I was granted by IOI
another scholarship for a week; Pacem in Maribus XX
Conference in Malta.
Since March, 2010, I have been working as the
Dean of Law Faculty of İzmir University of Economics, in İzmir, Turkey, at the
same time I work as the chief of the Department of the Law of the Sea.
